New Delhi: On his UAE visit’s second day today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil Hindu temple at Abu Dhabi at 7.30 pm (6 pm Dubai time).
Constructed by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha on a 27-acre plot in Abu Mreikhah, near Al Rahba off the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway, the BAPS Hindu Mandir embodies traditional construction methods outlined in Hindu scriptures.
Notably, the temple has integrated over 300 advanced sensors to monitor seismic activity and temperature fluctuations. Remarkably, the temple’s construction eschews the use of metal, employing instead fly ash to fortify its foundation. The project, estimated to cost approximately Rs. 700 crore, signifies a harmonious fusion of ancient wisdom and contemporary engineering.
Following the inauguration, Modi will travel to Doha for the second phase of his two-country trip.
