18th Ramesh Desai Memorial National Tennis Tournament: Padmapriya, Shristi duo emerge champions

Mysuru- Karnataka duo Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar and Shristi Kiran won the U-12 girls doubles championship in the 18th Ramesh Desai Memorial National Tennis Tournament conducted by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) at MSLTA, Mumbai, from Feb. 12 to 17. In the final, Karnataka pair beat Khushi Khadian and Sarena Gahlot of Haryana 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 to emerge champions.

Padmapriya, daughter of Bandipur Tiger Reserve Director Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar and Conservator of Forests (CF), Mysuru Circle, Dr. M. Malathi Priya, is ranked 4th in the country in the U-12 girls category while her partner Shristi is ranked number 1. Similarly, the Haryana pair of Khushi and Sarena is ranked second and third in U-12 girls category respectively.
