Inter-district burglars arrested

Rs. 43.55 lakh worth gold, silver recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police have arrested two inter-district burglars and have recovered 700 grams gold ornaments and 6 kg silver articles, all worth Rs. 43.55 lakh from them.

Those arrested are Syed Ayub, 31, of Rajivnagar 2nd Stage and Mohammed Munna, 36, a resident of Sultan Road 13th Cross in Ghousianagar in city.

The accused were committing burglaries during night and cases have been registered against them at Srirangapatna Town Police Station, Jayalakshmipuram Police Station in city, Channarayapatna Town, Vidyanagar in Davangere and Kollegal Town Police Station.

NR ACP C.K. Ashwathnarayan guided NR Inspector Lakshmikanth Talawar, SI S.K. Ganesh and staff T.M. Adam, Lingaraju, M. Mohan Kumar, Doddegowda, K. Eeresh, C. Basavaraju and Parashuram in the nabbing and recovery operation.
