Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to inaugurate

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru will host the 4th National-level Ekalavya Model Residential Schools Sports Meet from Jan. 8 to 12, 2024.

ST Communities Welfare Department Director B. Kallesh, who held a preliminary meeting in this regard at Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan on Valmiki road in Paduvarahalli here recently, said that the 5-day sports meet will be held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium and at Oval Grounds in city.

About 6,500 tribal students from 28 States of the country will be taking part in the meet, he said and sought the co-operation of all the concerned departments for ensuring the success of the event.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be inaugurating the sports meet, he said.

Muniraju, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports Assistant Director Bhaskar Nayak, Kannada and Culture Department Deputy Director Sudarshan, CRISE Co-ordinator S.K. Mahadev, ST Welfare Department Taluk Officers Arun Prabhu, Narayanaswamy and Komala, Sports Trainers Ramaswamy, Vishwa, Ravindra, Sundaresh, Girish, Lokesh, Balu and                                                              others were present.
