Two Doberman pups gifted to City Police Dog Squad

Mysore/Mysuru: Two male Doberman pups, aged four months, were gifted to City Police Dog Squad by Nagaraj Rachaiah, State President of Darshan Toogudeepa Abhimanigala Sangha.

The two pups were handed over to City Police Commissioner B. Ramesh recently.

City Armed Reserve DCP A. Maruthi, Dog Squad In-charge Officer P. Suresh and staff Purushotham and Basanth Kumar, Nagaraj Rachaiah and Pradeep were present on the occasion.

DCP Maruthi, speaking to SOM said that the two pups will be sent for training at the Dog Training Centre at Adugodi in Bengaluru. “At present, there are 10 dogs including the two new pups in Dog Squad and each dog is handled by two specially trained Police personnel. Timely health check ups are conducted and their health monitored constantly,” the DCP said.
