Mysore/Mysuru: Srilalitha Uliyaru and Srihari Uliyaru, multi-talented siblings from Udupi district, will be presenting a “Harikatha Kalakshepa” at the house of Mysore Vasudevacharya in city, on Dec. 10 between 10.30 am and 12 noon.
They will be accompanied by Vid. Vasanna Achar on harmonium and Vid. M.R. Udayakumar on tabla.
Srihari will also be providing keyboard support for the performance. The Kalakshepa titled “Dasashreshtha Purandara Dasaru,” is open to all art enthusiasts.
Srilalitha and Srihari, born in a family of artistes, have both been child prodigies. While Srilalitha has been presented with “Haridasa Deekshe” by the doyen of Harikatha Sri Bhadragiri Achuta Dasa at the age of eight, Srihari, now a student of 8th standard, has been featured on AIR and many other electronic media and is well-versed in tabla and keyboard.
Srilalitha has performed over 300 Kalakshepas, including those in the temples of Tirupathi, Mantralaya and Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram. Srihari has accompanied her in many of these programmes.
Vid. Vasanna Achar and Vid. M.R. Udayakumar are both senior performing artistes having accompanied leading performers in the fields of Harikathe, Rangageethe and Karnatak music respectively.
