This is regarding the software platform provided by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) for online payment of property tax.
On 6th of May 2021, I logged onto MCC website, checked the property details and proceeded to make payment. The payment was done and money got deducted but later the payment screen went unresponsive and no one in MCC Helpline answered the query raised by me.
The Helplines given by MCC are most of the time unanswered. When the call was received, the person at the other end directed me to contact the Revenue Officer (RO) or Inspector of the area. I tried to connect with three Officers.
One of them told me that he was not responsible for online payment while another RO told me she got transferred two days back from that area and she is not responsible and the third officer’s cellphone was switched off. No one till now has answered me in a positive way.
MCC online tax issue is there from long time but the concerned Officer can address at least this one issue. I am waiting for almost 12 days to get the receipt of payment done. During the Covid times and lockdown, it is high time for the MCC to look for a good website provider with better record and experience.
