If this is a responsible Government, a Government with a human face, should the citizens go to a Court of Law for Justice?
Mysuru: The assurances of the State Government regarding the exclusion of ‘B-Kharab’ (Government land) classification from Kurubarahalli Survey No. 4 and Alanahalli Survey No. 41 is full of hypocrisy, alleged B.P. Manjunath, BJP National Council Member and Convener of Survey No. 4 Hitharakshana Samithi.
He was reacting to a report published in Star of Mysore yesterday under the title “Vijayashreepura and Kurubarahalli land controversies: Residents in limbo; CM in no mood to help.” He said that the residents have no alternative but to seek help from the Law Court.
There are over 25,000 residents in the said survey numbers. “Successive officers have bungled and the innocent residents have to bear the brunt. The unscientific classification as ‘B-Kharab’ has resulted in non-issue of khatas, Title Deeds, building plans, Completion Report certificates, etc. thus legally disabling them from selling their properties, mortgaging them to raise loans to meet their commitments or to partition properties,” he said.
“These layouts were formed by the Government’s own department through City Improvement Trust Board (CITB, now MUDA) and transferred to the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) after collecting the cost of the house sites and under the Sale Deed as per law. There were no problems since they were formed nearly 25 years ago and suddenly two years back the entire land has been illogically classified as ‘B-Kharab’ (Government land) by the Government’s officers who are unaware of the background and history of these MUDA layouts,” he added.
Manjunath questioned Krishnaraja MLA M.K. Somashekar’s silence on the issue. “On March 4, 2017, at a Public Grievance Meeting, the MLA publicly announced that the Kurubarahalli and Alanahalli row would be solved within three months. Eight months have passed now and MLA Somashekar will have to answer why the issue has not been solved yet,” he said.
The only way forward is to legally fight it out. Time to constitute a fund to get the best legal experts to get this issue settled in the court of law. Stop believing Politicians. They will complicate and delay the issue rather than resolving it. CM seems to be on a High. Chameleons are far better.
