Hon. Doctorate in Agama Shastra by Indian Virtual University of Peace and Education
Residents of Chamundi Hill and employees of Goddess Chamundeshwari Temple felicitated Temple Chief Priest N. Shashishekar Dixit on being conferred with Honorary Doctorate in Agama Shastra by the Indian Virtual University of Peace and Education, Bengaluru, recently.
Born to Nagendra Dixit and Sarojamma couple in Mysuru, Shashishekar Dixit was bought up at Chamundi Hill. He completed his degree in Veda and Agama Shastra from Maharaja Sanskrit College and has conducted various puja rituals throughout the country.
Shashishekar has conducted various Brahmotsava, Prana Prathistapane, Kumbabhisheka, Rathotsava, Panitrotsava, Kalyanotsava and other rituals.
He has been conferred with various titles which includes ‘Agama Praveena’, ‘Agama Bhushana’, ‘Rastriya Ratna’, ‘Karnataka Ratna Shree’, ‘Agamacharya’ among others.
Latha Shashishekar Dixit, Temple Employees Association President N. Sridhar Dixit, Prashanth, M.D. Somashekar, Manigara Nagaraju, Mahesh, C.S. Vishwanath, Devaraju, Shankar and others were present during the occasion.
