Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust will be celebrating its 37th annual day and Sri Purandaradasa and Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana at Sri Prasanna Parvathi Kalyana Mantapa in V.V. Mohalla tomorrow (Feb. 11).

7 am: Event commences with ooncha vruthi and procession with decorated chariot carrying pictures of Purandaradasa and Thyagarajaswamy followed by artistes singing and playing musical instruments in the surrounding areas of V.V. Mohalla.

10 am: Annual day will be presided over by Sabha President Dr. P. Mohandas Bhat. Eminent musician vainika Prof. R. Visweswaran will be the chief guest. Senior surgeon and art patron Dr. C.G. Narasimhan will be the guest of honour. Five senior achievers in the field of music — Vidu. T.S. Vasantha Madhavi, Vid. Dr. S. Natarajamurthy, Vid. N. Vasudev, Vid. V. Krishnamurthy and A.N. Shastry will be conferred with the title ‘Kala Deepti.’

11 am: Goshti Gayana of Tyagaraja’s Pancharatna Kritis.
