Mysore/Mysuru: All the three persons, who are undergoing treatment at K.R. Hospital for the injuries suffered in the ghastly accident between a car and private bus near Kurbur village in T. Narasipur taluk on Mysuru-Kollegal Highway on May 29 that claimed 11 lives (10 on the spot and one in hospital), are recovering and are expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.
Janardhan, 43 and his four-year-old son Puneeth, from Sangankal in Ballari district and seven –year-old Gaurav of Ganagapura in Chamarajanagar district are those three injured persons, who will be discharged from the hospital within three to four days.
Janardhan and Puneeth had sustained injuries in their head and chest. While Janardhan is undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Puneeth is admitted at ICU of Children’s Unit in Cheluvamba Hospital. The duo was in unconscious condition and are convalescing after treatment.
Gaurav, who was travelling by window side in the private bus, had jumped off only to suffer serious injuries. He is also responding to the treatment, it is said.
It may be mentioned that, nine tourists from Ballari and the cab driver from Srirangapatna had been killed on the spot, while another tourist died in the hospital after a few days.
Bhanu, a seven-year-old girl travelling in the bus also underwent treatment at K.R. Hospital for the injuries sustained in the accident and was discharged after recovering recently.
