Cops find Rs. 6.65 lakh cash with him

Madikeri: A 55-year-old man from Kushalnagar in Kodagu was found dead near Ujire Telephone Exchange in Beltangadi Police limits and the Police have found Rs. 6.65 lakh cash with him.

The deceased has been identified as Thammaiah of Kushalnagar, who used to chop firewood for a living and the cash is said to be his savings.

The Police, who went through bus ticket and other chits found with him came to know that he was from Kushalnagar side. Beltangadi Police went to Kushalnagar and Bylakuppe to find his relatives but in vain. They have urged the kith and kin of Thammaiah, if any, to contact Beltangadi Police Station on Ph: 08256-232093 or Mob: 94808-05370.
