Mysuru: Reiterating that Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will taste defeat in Chamundeshwari Assembly segment, State JD(S) President and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy has said that it was JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda who had instilled confidence in Siddharamaiah when he (CM) lost the seat in 1999 General Assembly Elections.
Speaking to press persons at a private hotel here yesterday, Kumaraswamy said that he knew the pulse of the electorate of Chamundeshwari Constituency and CM Siddu was bound to lose the polls.
Alleging that Siddharamaiah used all his dirty tricks to win the 2006 Chamundeshwari by-polls, the former CM said the credit of Siddharamaiah’s victory then should go to the then Election Observer Peter.
Dismissing the pre-poll survey by an agency which predicted Congress victory as sponsored by the Congress, the JD(S) leader said that he was very much hopeful of the party candidate Ashwin Kumar’s victory in T. Narsipur.
Kumaraswamy further said that the party would soon release the second list of candidates and that there would be no change in the already announced first list.
