This Gita Gopinath , the IMF person who visited Mysore, should be proud of these 2 women too, who have a ‘holistic view of life’as she put it, because they are greedy, want to make money fast, grab as much lands as they can , help themselves with government properties, and bitching about each other. What a wonderful role models they are!

These two women officers will not be punished-one is a Reddy who has powerful political support from Andhra Pradesh, the other a Lingayat or Gowda, with her community support.

When your father Mr Ganapathy visited Goa and wrote about it, proudly describing, how it was re-conquered by kicking out the Portuguese rulers-there were not many any way, no army either for them, he missed one important aspect. Goa under Portuguese rule was almost non-corrupt. The Portuguese provided scrupulously clean administration.
So after the so called liberation of Goa, the place caught the Indian disease of corruption and nepotism, and today, it is more backward that it was under Portuguese-filthy in all respects.

Nehru was right to discontinue the ICS cadre appearing as IAS cadre, but Patel, who opposed whatever Nehru did, made the IAS cadre worse, when copying its structure from the ICS structure. He ensured that IAS officers are very secure in their positions. Hence, they cannot be easily removed.
The cadre of IAS and IPs offers should be revisited and changes made to remove them , when found corrupt.
Patel, who is worshipped today , was a senile old man, who did not finish his task of removing the Royalty in India completely, by taking over their assets which were acquired illegally by the Maharajas. This mistake we see today with Pramoda Devi, locking out the polluted Devi Kere on Chamundi Hill, and behaving like a rampant Maharani of 1920s. which she is not.
The spat between these 2 women demonstrates the ugly face of India, where its officials openly tout massive handouts and it appears these days, it is the land they are interested to grab.
With the Indian Rupees worth less than waste paper, corrupt officials demand hard currencies like US Dollars and Euros, which the rich criminals like the gold smugglers and distributors , controlled by the Keralite UAE-based business men deploy in Kerala and Mysore, are happy to oblige., and give them. Just look at how much gold is sloshing around in Mysore across Jewellery shops-most of it smuggled gold. The then Police commissioner simply caught the armed gang robbery members, and allowed the leader to escape, perhaps pocketing himself a few ingots of gold!
There are vast swathes of lands in Myosore and other places, whose ownerships are hidden, and most of them owned by these IAS and IPs officials, insiders believe, and the criminal gangs-they do not pay land taxes. Buildings too are owned by them.
These days, there is no difference between IAS and IPs officers and criminal gangs. Rohini Sindhuri and her husband have proved this fact.
They are not the first corrupt ones, most DCs, MCs, and police commissioners, who worked in Mysore for decades are known to be corrupt, so are police commissioners.
The politicians know they functioning through them can become rich too.
India is institutionally very corrupt.
