Of late, there is a surge in the number of trucks carrying quarry dust in and around Mysuru. Though both the State and the Central Governments have stipulated that items like quarry dust powder and sand should be covered while transporting, this rule is seldom adhered to by the transporters.

Majority of the transporters do not invest on tarpaulin or polythene sheet, they are supposed to use for covering these dust items. They save on this at the cost of causing perils to the  motorists, especially two-wheelers.

The law-enforcing authorities turn a blind eye to this blatant violation of the rule framed to help the motorists.

I request the authorities concerned to initiate stringent action against the transporters who transport sand and quarry dust powder without covering it.

Though we do have rules  framed for each and every activity, public seldom follow the rules and the law-enforcing authorities pay no heed to all these violations.
